Name: Brian Damian
Where he/she lives: In the rooms above his shop in lower Corus.
Place of Birth: Lower Corus
Age, Date of Birth: 27, November 11
Occupation: Brian
sells bolts of cloth to commoners in his shop. He is also now a husband and an expecting father-to-be.
Status:
Commoner
Locale: Inn of the Rogue
Magic: None; doesn't really care about the stuff.
Family:
Bow - Father. He has an even temper and has the gift of being able to annoy Brian to no end.
Rachel - Mother. She's a very kind women, but woe betide anyone to get in her way.
Rose - Brian's little sister, and the oldest twin. She is bubbly almost to a fault and loves to have fun. She
is married with no children, but hopes to have some.
Brooke - Brian's other little sister, and the youngest twin. She is more reliable than Rose is and takes after
her Da more. She is married and currently a new mother.
Leda Damian: Wife! Brian's wife and best friend is Leda. They just got married on the 23, which also happens to be Leda's birthday.
He's totally in love with her and yada yada yada, ya'll know what I mean.
Important People:
Lackie Saver: 11 year old street urchin that comes to Brian's shop regularily to "relieve" Brian of his extra
scraps.
Olive Saver: Lackie's little sister who is 10. She tags along with Lackie and simply adores Leda.
Brian and Leda are thinking of not exactly adopting Lackie and Olive at the moment, but keeping a room for them if they
need a place to stay. They'd like to have their own children first before adopting any.
Appearance: Brian has shaggy, thick, reddish-brown hair that falls to his shoulders. He keeps it out of his
brown eyes with a leather strap tied across the forehead sometimes, but he enjoys leaving it loose. He has an oval shaped
head and a narrow chin. His face is clean shaven and his skin is light with freckles all over his body. He is 5'8" tall. He
is not very muscular and has a long nose.
Clothing: He usualy wears a belted, home made shirt over worn, brown,
breeches, and has a money belt hidden under his clothing. Hangs a pouch with a few coins in it from his belt and a dagger
as well.
Personality: Brian is shy around his friends and strangers, but when with his family he relaxes so
that it isn't so bad. When he is around females older than twelve, or younger than thirty or so, he stutters when talking
to them and blushes. This leads of course to him trying to stay away from them unless he really likes them. His sisters tell
him that girls don't bite, but Brian has a hard time believing it most of the time. His parents find it exasperating to have
a son who can hardly talk to girls of the marrying age, and nag him constantly about getting married. Whenever they start
nagging at him, he tries harder to talk to a suitable girl, but it makes his stuttering worse. He has a wonderful sense of
humor, but rarely gets to show it because of his shyness. He can be quite sarcastic at times and laughs quietly at a good
joke. If something makes him angry he rants about it to one of his sisters or to one of his close friends.
He tries
not to get involved in fights if he can help it. Even though he is shy he has very strong beliefs and it takes proven facts
for him to change his mind. He is very stubborn young man.
Strengths: He can be trusted with secrets and will
protect his family if they are threatend or harmed in any way. He remembers faces and can put the right name with the right
face. He can also clean the house as well, if not better, than most wives or mothers. He had to learn how when Bow was teaching
him how to manage the store.
Weaknesses: He is entirely far too shy and makes enemies with his sarcasm when
he gets up the courage to talk to people other than his friends. He only knows how to fight with his dagger so if he is robbed
he can't defend himself very well. He can't talk to girls that well, which hampers his social life considerably.
History:
Brian Damian was born to two very happy parents. For five years he was the center of their world. Then his mother became
pregnant again.
His father started working harder so as to keep paying for the life they were currently living, but
it wasn't enough. Nine months went by and Brian's mother gave birth to twins. (His sisters) The family was soon running low
on funds so his father started to teach his son how to manage the store, haggle for the best prices for the cloth, and how
to clean the cloth. By the time Brian turned fifteen he could manage the store by himself and take care of his now, ten year
old sisters.
A few months after Brian turned twenty, his father decided to retire and gave Brian the store. Brian had
been stunned. He and his father had talked of the retirement on and off for the past few months, but Brian hadn't really thought
his father would do it for real.
After a month or so of getting used to not having his father making sure he did not
make mistakes, Brian relaxed and truly showed he was a good salesman. The only thing is that after that month, his father
started coming round to see how his son was getting on. Since Brian had established a new system, his father began to rearange
the bolts of cloth. Giving advice when his son was helping a customer and embarrasing his son on the whole.
Brian
has run the store for about six years now and his father has come round to 'check' on things everyother day. Either that or
he was 'just' in the neighborhood and desided to say hello. If rearanging fabric is called saying hello that is.
Update: Just recently Brian has met and then proposed to Leda Wetherall and she has proceeded
to turn his life up-side-down.
Update 2: Brian and Leda are married! April 23. Beautifuly small wedding. Leda is slightly
cross at Brian because he went straight to work the next day. He is so hopeless sometimes!
Update 3: Well, Brian and Leda are still married and expecting a baby. Leda has a few more
months to go. At the beginning of the pregnancy they had troubles, so they are praying often that the baby isn't too damaged,
or that either the baby or Leda die during labor.
Update 4: Brian is 27 as of yesterday. Leda had a good time taking him by surprise with a chocolate
cake. He was obviouse up until that point. It was a busy work day, so he had sort of an excuse.
Update 5: October 23, Leda has given birth to Ilysa Claire Damien. The baby is blind and Leda
has gone in to a coma. Brian is pretty much has stopped working for the time being, his dad has come and is keeping the store
going while Brian is coping with this.
Update 6: Ilysa is a little over six months old! Leda has come out of her coma, and Brian is
working after Leda came out about a week after giving birth. Not as much though because he's been helping with the baby and
also with Leda's weakness. She's much stronger now though.
What is you character most ashamed of? Brian doesn't really have anything he's ashamed of right
now. The closest to that would be his stutter, but it's not so bad now that he has Leda.
What makes you character
unigue? He thinks things through and knows when to back off from a fight. He has a love for apples and cheese and would
eat them all the time if he didn't know it would most likely make him sick if he did. He can flare his nostrils and wiggle
his ears on command and wistle with his tongue.
Why is your character coming to the Inn/to the Little Court? He
has been desperatly looking for a place to go where his father won't think of looking for him.
